Welcome to the North Shropshire Group

Our mission is to educate those at risk of developing diabetes to better understand the types and causes of diabetes, which include genetics, lifestyle, emotional and psychological reasons and to develop strategies that will help to manage their condition as effectively as possible.

Our goal is to provide support people living with diabetes in North Shropshire, as well as their family, friends and anyone else who is interested in knowing more about diabetes.

We do this primarily through group meetings, designed with the express purpose of providing individuals with a safe, social forum to discuss diabetes and its effects.

When and where we can, we also try to raise money to promote awareness of diabetes and generally contribute in any way we can.

Whether you have been diagnosed yourself or if you are simply an individual with a desire for knowledge and an inclination to take part, we welcome you to our group.
